Beach:

Nightlife:
Often counted among the ‘party islands of Greece’, Crete offers its visitors a varied and lively nightlife. The variety that one gets on Crete holidays ranges from Brit-style pubs to karaoke bars, foam parties, discos, nightclubs, beach parties, as well as traditional Cretan dance and music. The towns of Rethymnon, Iraklio, Hania, Hersonissos and Malia are the main spots where nightlife is at its best in Crete.
When to go:
We can safely say that anytime is a good time for holidays in Crete. Though the peak season here is July onwards but people come to island April onwards too. From April to June one can enjoy weathers in the mid-20s while, July onwards the mercury soars to the mid-30s. There are plenty of local festivals and fiestas too that one should attend while in the vicinity; there’s the Sultana festival in Sitia town every August. Rethymnon holds a Renaissance festival in July and August each year with lots rock concerts, dance performances, dramas etc. Then there’s also the art festival at Agios Nikolaos from July to September.
